New Mechanics
One of the most noteworthy changes in FUT 27 is the increased player control. FC 27 is weakening automatic defenses. The coverage area of AI Defenders will be reduced, and they won’t perform tackles as frequently as before. Choosing the wrong defender, switching at the wrong time, or standing in the backfield waiting for AI to handle things can leave gaps in your defense, allowing the opponent to seize opportunities.
This also means that the importance of individual player abilities will increase. Players with higher defensive attributes and more suitable PlayStyles will definitely require more FIFA coins.
FIFA 27’s attacking end has similar adjustments. The duration of automatically triggered runs has been shortened; if you want your players to continue advancing, you need to actively trigger the run again. This means that attacking is no longer simply about waiting for AI to automatically create space; players now need to continuously observe the situation on the field.
The changes in FUT 27 don’t mean making AI do more, but reducing AI intervention while giving more initiative back to the player. Good execution and judgment will create more space for attack, and mistakes will have more pronounced consequences.

New Content
